![]() Special Effects ContactsIf you want to freak out your friends you will certainly manage that if you wear some of these special effects contacts. Some designs are just different but others are really over the top and completely weird. A number of suppliers advertise the contacts as being Halloween contacts or theatrical contacts, but I think Party contacts is probably a good name because I imagine that the party situation is where most of these weird and wonderful contacts are worn. Wherever you buy your contacts you are still going to need them fitted by an eye care professional. Don’t run away with the idea that you can buy them and just slap them in yourself if you have never had contacts before. You could do this, but I do not want to think about the damage you could do to your eyes and also the contacts. You may have perfect sight but just want a change, but you still need a prescription for contacts, some companies advertise no prescription being needed but you would be well advised to see an eye care specialist before you use them for the first time. You also will need advice on how to take care of these special effects contacts so you don’t wear them out prematurely, especially if you have paid a good price. I do think if you are going to put anything in your eyes you should abide by any reputable company ruling that you get a bone fide prescription in order to be able to buy them. You wouldn’t want to damage your eye sight, it is too precious. The prescription you need is called ‘Prescription [RX]‘ that you need to get special effects contacts. You will find on some company advertisements these are called either Cosmetic or Rx, cosmetic meaning no sight correction. These contacts must be treated the same way as any other normal contacts, they must not be worn at night and they should always be cleansed properly and only with approved cleaning solutions. If you need sight correction contact lenses I would advise that you also have normal ones as well as funky special effects contacts. You might not feel able to wear your fun contacts all the time, especially if your work situation would not encourage this. Plus I think if you wore them all the time you might get sick of them. There are some special effects contacts which are just made to make your eyes look bigger and they are really very inexpensive and they look very good. There is an absolutely enormous selection of colors and designs available and also a wide range of prices. |
